Basic Google Analytics Reports
Hello,
As we’re back from the holidays and settling into the new year it’s a perfect time to reflect on your website’s performance. How did your site perform from a traffic perspective? If you have e-commerce enabled, how did that grow over the prior year? It’s important to have a pulse of what was and wasn’t working for you digitally.
The easiest snapshot of data you can review is in Google Analytics. If you login, while there is a lot of information at your fingers, there are a couple basic reports you can look at:
BASIC TRAFFIC REPORTS
Landing Page Report: Where people landed on the website. This can be found in Google Analytics under Behavior > Site Content > Landing Pages.
All Pages: How many times a page was reviewed. This can be found in Google Analytics Behavior > Site Content > All Pages.
BASIC E-COMMERCE REPORT
E-commerce Overview: This can be found in Google Analytics under Conversions > Overview.
By using the date range picker, you can then select year-over-year to review how 2020 looked over 2019.
If you’re looking for more information on how to read Google Analytics or get more familiar with the data, you can view the prior webinar where I reviewed the key pieces here: https://youtu.be/WucqQckhJFo
I’m happy to help with any questions or to even jump on a screen-share to review your data together! I'm here as a resource for you.
Cheers,
Katie
