Connecting Your Online Product Catalog to Facebook/Instagram
Hello there, I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your week (and had a lovely Valentine’s Day!). I wanted to talk about connecting your product catalog to Facebook/Instagram. I get this question a lot from clients.
STEP ONE:
Create a Facebook pixel and have it added to your site; you can select the “Send to Developer” option and forward the script to customerservice@punchmark.com.
STEP TWO:
Create a product catalog in Facebook under Commerce Manager in Business Manager.
STEP THREE:
Find your product data feed within SiteManager. Login, go to Integrations, and copy the link that says “Facebook Catalog Feed.”
STEP FOUR:
Use the product data feed to add your products. Under your catalog you just created go to Data Sources > Add Items > Use Bulk Upload. This is where you can paste the product data feed URL. I recommend to schedule this to update nightly so all of your product changes, price updates, etc. will be pushed through.
STEP FIVE:
That’s it! You can now use this catalog to run products ads, tag items in Instagram (if you set up Instagram shopping), and/or set up a Facebook shop.
