# Stripe FAQs

Below is a list of answer to Frequently Asked Questions about Stripe.

### How do I add apple pay?

Follow the instructions in [this Knowledge Base article.](https://help.punchmark.com/knowledge/wiki/spaces/punchmark/pages/2841575426?hsLang=en)

### Is there a monthly fee like Authorize.net?

There is no monthly fee for Stripe.

### What's my per-transaction processing fee?

Ranges from 2.9% + .30 per txn to 3.5% + .80 per txn, depending on what features you are using. Stripe charges a small fee for calculating tax with a high level of accuracy.

### Will the transition to Stripe be seamless?

Yes. We suggest you run a few test transactions with small-ish dollar amounts. This helps with approvals, as immediate, large transactions may not be authorized due to something called an MID Warming process.

### Can I switch back to Authorize.net?

No. Our Authorize.net integration was sunset as of September 24, 2026, so for now, Stripe is the built-in option for card payments on Punchmark websites. We're looking into new Authorize.net integrations that would offer more security and more features. Once your store is on Stripe, older Authorize.net transactions can't be captured or refunded through Punchmark (more on that below). If you have any questions about your checkout, reach out to [customerservice@punchmark.com](mailto:customerservice@punchmark.com) and we'll be glad to help.

### Will my funds be accessible immediately?

For compliance reasons, new accounts have funds initially withheld for 7-14 days. From that point forward, your funds will be available shortly after capture and closing (0-2 days). Your account setup will walk you through the scheduling of automatic transfers to your bank account.

### Will Stripe Help me File Sales Tax?

"Stripe Tax Complete" offers tax registrations, calculations, collections, and filings, and is priced as a monthly subscription with a 1-year contract

### Is My Website PCI Compliant?

Stripe handles all PCI Card Data. None of it touches your server or your website, making you fully PCI Compliant.

### What is Link?

Link allows customers to store their payment information once, and use it across millions of sites powered by Link or ShopPay. This means faster checkout than ever, sometimes in one click.

### What Payment Methods Are Available?

Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Affirm, Paypal, and others. Each payment method needs to be set up in your Stripe Dashboard.

### Does Punchmark Take a % of the transaction?

No. Punchmark receives 0% of your Stripe transactions. The processing fees on your sales are Stripe's own, as described under the per-transaction fee question above. There was originally a "platform fee" sent to Punchmark, but that was disabled once the integration was complete.

### How do I process a refund? Do I have to log into Stripe?

Yes. In Stripe. Your SiteManager Order Details page has multiple links directly to the order in Stripe for easy access to refunding and any other functionality in the Stripe Dashboard. Follow the instructions in [this Knowledge Base article.](https://help.punchmark.com/knowledge/wiki/spaces/punchmark/pages/2843607045?hsLang=en)

### How is Fraud Handled?

For standard credit card payments, you have access to ClearSale and Eye4Fraud as Punchmark's long-standing, trusted fraud protection providers. For other types of payments, the level of protection varies. Paypal and Amazon Pay have some levels of fraud protection built in.

### Can I still capture or refund my old Authorize.net transactions?

Unfortunately, no. Once your store has switched to Stripe, Authorize.net transactions can no longer be captured or refunded through Punchmark. We know that can be a change from what you're used to. Every order placed after your switch goes through Stripe, and you can refund those anytime by following [How to Issue a Refund in Stripe](https://help.punchmark.com/knowledge/wiki/spaces/punchmark/pages/2843607045?hsLang=en).
